Our full range of services in-house (drug discovery, flow chemistry, formulation and process development, custom synthesis, cGMP sterile fill/finish, cGMP API manufacturing and/or dosage form manufacturing) all at one location enables us to be adaptable, flexible and cost-effective.
The integration of process development, API manufacturing and finished dose manufacturing at one location can accelerate drug discovery and development programs. Our range of contract development and manufacturing capabilities include aseptic liquid fill and difficult aseptic powder fills.
As a service to the R&D community, Vitra Pharmaceuticals has a Research Molecules catalogue of over 2000 fine chemicals, including labelled compounds, metabolites, impurities, and natural compounds.

Since its founding in 1989, Vitra Pharmaceuticals has grown to become a leading pharmaceutical services company, providing discovery, development and manufacturing support to our global customer base The company’s strategy has always been to provide world class scientific services to our customers, with a focus on quality and innovation.
The company began operations in a small lab at Oxford University in 1989, primarily focusing on meeting the chemical needs of local researchers, including hard-to-find or difficult chemical synthesis products. The company became known for its strong chemistry expertise and expanded both its operational lab footprint as well as its customer base. With the provision of larger scale chemical synthesis, Vitra Pharmaceuticals made a strategic decision to add cGMP manufacturing capabilities to support the demand of its customers.
By 2000, Vitra Pharmaceuticals had outgrown its operational space and moved to its current 42,000 square foot (3,900 square meter) facility in Toronto. This additional space allowed Vitra Pharmaceuticals to strategically invest in adding more comprehensive lab services, formulation development services, finished dose manufacturing (including sterile injectables and solid oral capsules) and large scale chemistry and research capabilities.
The objective is to focus on offering pharmaceutical services that meet our customer’s evolving needs and add value by making their supply choices simpler. Today Dalton boasts a fully integrated service offering everything from discovery and research all the way through to small scale cGMP commercial manufacturing. We Discover, Develop, and Manufacture.
